Decent clipper, be wary of the size
Pretty strong and can cut through thicker nails. I didn’t know they were going to be mini nail clippers, which is my bad for not reading more clearly. However, they pack a punch for their smaller size. I share the household with a person with thick nails and this was able to get through it no problem. The clip size itself is on the larger and thicker side, which may explain how it’s able to perform so well. Even though the handles for the nail clipper are small, the actual head of it is made to be wider and larger.I also like that the handles have a good grip to them and I don’t feel annoyed or irritated after using them to clip all my fingernails/toenails. I used to use the all metal nail clippers and those dug in after a while, but these rubber grips help a lot with comfort.Overall, this is a good nail clipper for its size. It punches well above what you’d expect with its durable and well sized clip.
Small, but mighty!
My resident thick-nailed person (TNP) is super impressed with these nail clippers. The handles are textured, making them easy to grip, and the mouth opens wider than typical nail clippers to allow it to get around thick nails—what they mean when they say “wide jaw” (the actual width of the individual blades is no wider than usual). As expected, as clippers go, they’re on the small side (the product listing did say “mini”), but don’t let that fool you—they easily got around TNP’s thick nails and cut them with no problem at allâ¦something previous clippers he’s tried have been unable to do. The mini size turns out to be a nice “takes up less room so easier to store” feature. Very happy to add these clippers to our household. Highly recommend.
The cutting blades are very sharp. The handles are not very long and thus there is little leverage to cut very thick nails, but the sharpness of the blades compensates. These clippers have neither rasp/files nor pointed handles to use for lifting a nail to aid the cutting process.
When I trimmed my nails with it it felt like I had to apply pressure for it to do its job o almost cut .yself a few times this was not for me
