I put these on the top of the door (so they can’t slide down or be reached by kids) and they’re great. Stop the door from closing without doing any damage to the door or the frame. Also ensures pets don’t get locked out/in anywhere. Surprise benefit in that it stopped our doors slamming due to wind, so now we leave them on even if there are no babies around.
