Amazing baby monitoring indoor camera
This is a a great camera for baby monitoring. It comes with tons of installation options from wall mount to sit on table top to attach to the crib.Camera comes with a dedicated monitor but can also be used with a smart phone through Netvue Next app. The same app can be used to control multiple cameras for example outdoor camera if you have one like me which is helpful.The image quality is good and connecting to monitor or phone through wifi is straight forward.The camera gives you real time temperature readings and can detect baby cry or motion. The monitor still works while disconnected from wifi alerting you with audio only.NOTE: helpful hints:1. You can either use the monitor or a phone but not both.2. When connecting with phone press the camera reset button till you get a flashing âredâ light and then let go and press the button again for a second time to get a âgreenâ flashing light3. To connect to the monitor, press and hold camera reset button till it starts flashing âredâ4. You will have to repeat this process to bind/unbind to phone or the monitor.5. Press and hold monitor power button for couple of seconds to turn it on and wait because you wonât get an immediate response5. Remember, green camera status light is for phone connection and red is for monitor connection.6. The camera status light is at the back of the camera but you cannot see unless it’s powered on7. The camera reset button is located under the camera belly beside the SD card slot8. When pressing camera rest but you need to really press it harder till you get a click sort of sound like an actual switch, itâs not a touch-only button.
Very poor quality
I would not recommend this camera to anyone. The camera constantly disconnects and makes a loud beeping sound every time this happens. It often reconnects on its own but has recently stopped doing that. You need to unplug the camera and plug it back in for it to reconnect, the camera then makes a loud sound. The battery life is awful, lasts maybe 5 hours and about 30min if it gets cold. This looked like a very high end product in the photos but it’s not, very disappointed with this purchase.
Feedback and monitor an annoyance
We bought this monitor for our cottage… would not recommend. There is a constant feedback sound on the monitor and we always have issues with the screen. It keeps getting disconnected in the middle of the night, or we will charge it and the screen just stops working. We have also tried going to our dock (maybe 150m from our cottage) and it disconnects… we bought this because we thought the range would be better. Also can’t seem to find the zoom on the monitor? The app does work well and can zoom in/out.

Great camera quality
Very clear picture during day and night. The adjustable clips and camera arm are very convenient. Great customer support.
Garbage
Donât waste your money on this. The only upside is the camera quality. The monitor screen doesnât hold a charge for more than a half hour, the noise the camera makes on the monitor screen will keep you up all night and if thatâs not enough, the camera loses connection consistently while running and lets out a loud alarm. Even while you are no more than 15ft from the camera.
Cry detection is falsely advertised; incomplete, unfinished solution
This is clearly a security camera repurposed for baby monitoring. I was excited at the prospect of push notifications to my phone. While the camera itself is very good, the supporting software is not. Netvue advertises “cry detection” as a push notification on your phone, but this functionality simply doesn’t exist, because the cry detection algorithm is on the parent unit only. They do offer motion detection notifications in the app, but… babies move while they sleep or play, so why would you want that?The monitor’s settings configurator allows enabling both cry and motion detection and cites “set sensitivity in the Netvue app,” but no such configuration exists for cry detection. Chat support confirmed this, and “escalated to the team.”We also found ourselves needing to reboot the entire system because the crying alerts just stopped working without warning. And since this monitor doesn’t turn on based on noise levels like other monitors, you actually have to rely on the cry detection working, so this is a fundamentally untrustworthy product for that purpose.As mentioned in other reviews, they want to sell recording to the cloud and AI smart detection features very much tailored for security purposes rather than baby monitoring.This is promising hardware that needs more work to be the product being advertised. If you just care about the quality of the camera and actively watching your baby, this is a good solution. If you want to be notified only when the baby cries, like in an overnight sleeping situation, you can’t trust this product.
