The little man, (my Great-grandson) looks so handsome in this sporty outfit. The Volunboy summer set is good quality and well-made. The colors are bright even after washing… And all the stitching, hems and buttons were without flaw.The material is soft and mostly cotton, so as the norm for me, I sized-up. I thought the sizing was a bit generous, but that’s a good thing in toddler clothing. A decent value for a good-looking outfit… So, everyone is smiling!
My son is 5 and since most kids clothing brands seem like they run small, I tend to get him a size 8 (this usually allows for him to grow into things some – I prefer clothing that my kids can wear for more than a year!). That being said, I almost clicked away from this outfit when I saw that the biggest size is 5-6 years. But after looking at the size chart and seeing that the 5-6 measured larger than expected I decided to give this outfit a try. I’m so glad I did! As you can see from the picture this fits like a Carter’s boys size 8 (shown on the left) even after washing and going through the dryer. The shorts with the outfit also fit very similar to Carter’s boys size 8 pull-on shorts (not pictured). The outfit is also well made and should last a while.I will say, I personally would not pay $25 for an outfit like this. So if I had not received this for free through Vine, I most certainly wouldn’t have purchased it – MAYBE for $20 since it does have the rocket ship on it. But overall, I’m very impressed with the sizing and the quality! The polo will go nicely with khaki shorts!
I got this for my toddler son, who is in 18-24 months clothes. This is a little big for him relative to other brands of the same size. I’d rather it be too big than too small, though. The shorts feel a little too long for the size of the waist, but that is more of a style issue than a fit issue.The tags say not to tumble dry, and that dry cleaning is recommended. I won’t be dry cleaning my toddler’s clothes, so we will see how they hold up in the wash. They are 95% cotton, so I am assuming they are protecting against shrinkage. I will update the review if there are significant changes after washing.The garments feel well-made and look sharp. This will be a comfortable yet good-looking outfit when he grows into it.
Our 4 yr. old looks like a million bucks in his new outfit! The fabric is soft but sturdy and the green color is nice and bright – a plus as we can see him easily. I’m happy with this purchase.
This is super cute, but sized oddly. My grandson wears a 2T so I ordered a 2-3T. The waist is snug on the shorts, but the shirt comes down to his thighs. The fabric on both the shirt and shorts feels cheap, it’s not soft at all like I expect in a 100% cotton child’s outfit. Colors are vibrant and fun and appliques are well applied.
