I ordered two of these, one for the top of the stairs and one for the bottom for my blind and deaf dog. No drilling required, fit snug in place and were easy to install . They look great and work so well. The door is spring loaded and stays open when you want and snaps back securely when closed making it hassle free. Most importantly, keeps my dog safe!

Don’t do it
Do yourself a favour and get a different gate. This one has a nuisance bar that you have to step over. Otherwise, it seems quite solid and good quality.
Perfect for round bannisters!
This gate is perfect if you have a round bannister! We tried many before we found this one and it is a holy grail! Great for bigger spaces too! We bought two and recommend it to all our parent friends!
