I was so excited to order these along with the plates. The colors are really cute and they seem sturdy. But he popped the suction off within 5 seconds and heâs only 12 months old. Yes I put water under the suctions as advised. I would return but I washed them before we used them.

Wetting the suction cup with a little water (ideally a little soap too) doubles the suction power. The bowls are rubbery and have a little weight to them and there is a small tab to help remove the bowl when suctioned down.I did not receive bowls with a foul, lingering smell like I read in a review. I feel these bowls can be used for so many different applications and the material feels like they will last a really long time.I received 3 small bowls (6-8oz?) for around $10 which is a great value for the quality and versatility.
