Not bad but not too accurate
Not as accurate on dog as a rectal thermometer, but easy to use
Not Reliable or Accurate
I made multiple attempts to take my catâs temperatures. One catâs temperature read 109 degrees F, which would mean she was near death. Given she was chasing her ball and wrestling with her brother minutes later, that does not appear to be the case. A follow up reading after she played said she was too cold to register a temperature. My other cats had similar experiences, either reading too high or too low to be realistic, or their temperature fluctuated wildly within a few minutes to be considered reliable. I am returning this thermometer and donât recommend you purchase it.
I have 6 dogs, so this thermometer gives me an extra sense of security. After all, anything can happen to them (tick, injury, inflammation) that can also cause a fever, and in such cases it is important to be able to start reducing the fever immediately. During weekends, long weekends, travel and multi-day holidays, it is especially good to have a thermometer in my Pet First Aid Kit.
Thank goodness that I had this option to keep an eye on my mum-to-be pet dog and wasn’t made to use an anal thermometer.I would have been most concerned about using an anal thermometer as I’m sure physical harm could easily be caused to your precious pet if you didn’t insert it correctly.This version is a little bit more expensive but you get what you pay for and delivery was the following day to me placing the order.
Donât buy this. For the last 2 weeks Iâve been trying to see if thereâs a problem with me or the device. Nomad dog temperature is like 99 to102. This device says Lo or 97.5 every time a temperature is taken. And weâve been tested ig those numbers since we got it. One ear is Lo then 25 seconds later that same ear is 97.5⦠also it doesnât even work on humans or if you turn an oven on and stick you hand in with it that answer is Lo 9/10 or 97.5. This product is trash. Save your moneyâ¦. -00000000 stars
This was of no use what so ever, even though I read the reviews. It does not work on my cockerpoo. I wanted somthing i could use instead of the usual anal one, for my pregnant dog. Best to stick to the one the vet will use which is the anal one.
