I work night shift. This took a lot of work to get it the way I wanted it for my bedroom window for daytime sleep. I had no clue what I was doing. In the end I decided to use the Velcro mainly to hold the material in place while I fine tuned the whole thing. I have one window with 2 panels with one panel that is permanently fixed in place and the other slides left to right to open or close over the fixed one. I popped out the movable one and cleaned it like crazy and cut a piece that fit exactly covering the glass only and not overlapping the frame and made an exact copy for the second window panel. Make sure they are really the same measurements first. Then I got a high grade black duct tape that matches the material and ran it around the edge of the window to keep it there until I decide to take it down. Take your time and you won’t really notice the tape and it looks fantastic. This is why I did a super clean on the window. The tape will stick properly. You can use the Velcro discreetly to hold the material while you tape it to the frame and window. Obviously the second window panel will take more patience as it doesn’t move. Don’t really care if I did mess it up a bit as the curtain covers it most of the time as well as a Venetian blind. i ended up with a window that totally blocks out all light and can easily be opened for fresh air without disturbing or damaging the covering. My room is 100% dark during the day. I am really happy with the outcome.

Comes tightly folded in a yellow zip-lock bag
I got them folded in a ziplock bag – which caused creases on the blind. These blind felt like made of nylon or synthetic plastic – so I could not iron the blind to get rid of those creases. I ended putting them on windows as it is – they blocked the sunlight but were looking bad. The creases didnt go away even with the sunlight when put on window for several days – hence I regretted buying these. When I finally decided to take these off – the sticking tape wont come off the window glass – it was just so sticky and left sticky glue marks on window glass. I dont know what kind of glue do they use – because my hands got sticky too – that wont come off with regular soap – so I washed my hands with dishwashing liquid – the glue was moving on hand – like it was on the tips of fingers but when I finished washing my hands – the back of my hand became sticky – funny eh! I washed hands several times to get rid of glue. I still have to remove glue marks from the windows – I am thinking of using a dryer and a damp cloth.

Velcro glue does NOT hold
The glue side of the Velcro MELTED within a few hours of direct sunlight. Blinds fell down and the glue was a melted mess on the window. I applied it when it was cool and dark. The next day it all melted in direct sunlight. NOT HAPPY – Waste of MONEY

If you’re a fellow vampire like me, you know how obnoxious the sun can be. Well, upon moving into a new apartment, I was greeted with large, beautiful windows that look great when you want light. But the included blinds blocked out minimal light. I had to find a cheap but good solution to blackout the windows so I could work on my computer and not have glare on my TV. I bought two of this, cut them to size, and attached them to my windows with the included velcro stickies. I did attach them to the metal blind holder because I was afraid they may take off paint if you attached them directly to your painted walls! So take caution there.They stayed up for a year until I took them down to move and never fell once. If I did need to take them down, the velcro came down easily and went back up easily. And when I peeled off the velcro from the windows, it came cleanly. They blocked the sun out very well and were very cheap compared to real blackout blinds. If you are in need of a cheap, easily adjustable solution for blacking out your windows, these are a great option!

Super great quality. Easy to install. Simply measure the window, cut the piece of black out and use the Velcro that comes with it to stick on the window. We are all sleeping better. The sticky part of the Velcro sticks with no problem.

Love how it blacks out all light fron coming in.
