This item has had to be utilized throughout our kitchen & dining area and blends in well. It is sturdy, functional, easy to use yet looks nice at the same time. We have two ‘piddle’ puppies now growing into adulthood and its really been helpful and yet looks at home with our other living/dining room furniture.
Great features, looks nice
I got one for the stairs going up and one for the stairs going down. I was so happy with it I got two more to keep the food-crazed Weimeraner puppy out of the kitchen. It’s sturdy enough for our purposes, for dogs, and they haven’t budged from their positions, but we don’t have small kids who could fall into it and down stairs. Easy to install. Recommend getting the little wall protectors for better fit in areas that have a base board or other uneven distance. I like the option to lock the gate one direction or both directions. The gate will swing back to closed (but not latched) after you walk through so it doesn’t stay open for the dogs to sneak through. Easy to open, the 5-year-old kid can do it and grandma with her arthritic hands. Easier to use and look better than the white plastic one we replaced, I almost tripped over that thing during recovery from hip surgery.
Great gate overall
Gate works great and looks great. Only think is if you’re a bit on the wider side you have to turn sideways to walk thru it. Makes it challenging as we have it at the top of our stairs haha
The opening you walk through is very small, only 16″ opening.
We liked the look and how easy it was to install. We didn’t like that the walk through opening was very small, it was only 16″ wide. Not very big to walk through, also a piece of the wood decoration was broken when we got it.

Looks beautiful
Installation was easy once you notice the big words telling you that there will be a gap until installation is complete.The gate is beautiful and looks so much better than the plastic ones.Opening the gate was something I worried about but it’s very easy to open.We installed the gate halfway up the stairs and it fit easily under the railing.

Best doggie gate
It was so easy to set up and since l got it Rosey my dog has not escaped. We use to use a board but this gate is the best!!!

Muy buen producto, justo lo que buscaba, los materiales son buenos y no es muy complicado de armar y se puede ajustar a diversas medidas, me ha servido mucho para que mi bebé este más seguro y no pueda caer por las escaleras.
One minor quibble and the rest I love. And note, this is new. If the latching becomes problematic over time I will update. I bought two of these and based on my experience I am buying a third to replace a different model from another vendor that has a cranky latch.The packing was great. One box was damaged but everything inside was fine. Reading the instructions makes it seem more complicated, but you simply bolt the two main parts together at the bottom. Install the swinging gate by putting a pin in the bottom and inserting a loose pin into a hole at the top. Now either insert one or both extenders into the side, they just push on. With or without the extenders, insert the adjustment screws, they do not thread in.Place the unit in the area to be gated and start turning the middle plastic knob to force the adjustment screws out longer. Keep turning both sides, top and bottom until snug. Tighten the bottom pretty tight. If there is an uneven molding, you can lift it up a little. Adjust the top screws until the latch tongue is mostly inserted into the opening.That is it. Now peel off the warning sticker that says the gap is intentional. Say a thanks to the company for making the adhesive not too sticky as it peels right off cleanly. Now for the baby warning sticker, I guess they do not want you to remove it, perhaps for liability? I decided though it looks crap, I am leaving it on. It would take too long for me to remove all the adhesive and paper bits.As to the person who in the review mentioned it only opens one way. Nope! There are turnable locks on the bottom of the swinging gate that can stop the door from swinging through either way. If both locks are turned up, the door swings both ways. I find this to be a great feature as on one gate, I want it to swing both ways, the other gate I used one of the locks to limit the travel.So very happy. It feels solid and looks nice in my house. And now the rescue dogs will stay away from certain parts of the home.

The product’s fine. Bought it to replace an uglier gate I had before that we are using as a dog gate.However, why spend the $ on a nicer gate only to find it has this big warning sticker on both sides of the gate that doesn’t come off. There are 2 other stickers on the gate and they just peel off but this one, no way. They want you to keep it there. Which is fine but then leave it in the picture so I know what I’m buying.If it isn’t in the picture, then fine, give me the warning but let me peel it off like the others.
