This product has the potential to be 5 stars, but as it is it may only be worth 3. Definitely not worth the selling price.Structurally this thing is very sturdy, as is the crib mount and arm.Upside, the picture on the app is VERY CLEAR. The sleep tracking/ breathing is hit or miss. I have yet to try throwing a burp cloth over my kids face to test the “face covered” feature. The auto cry detection & playing sounds is nice to have. I’m not sure how I feel about the whole baby memories thing, as that means it’s constantly recording. Even if it IS locally stored. I feel like the temp reads a bit high, as my house is set at 68, but this thing reads at 74.The app needs a lot of work, you can’t set the babies birth date as it keeps resetting to a specific date. The talk back feature is terribly garbled and not good at all (video posted)It would be nice if there was an option to purchase a receiver to go with the monitor, but if you have a spare tablet or phone you can leave on that’ll work too. All in all, I like this product but I wouldn’t have purchased it at its current selling price.
Setup is easy. Picture quality is exceptional. Few things I had issue with. First, the default angle the camera is set at is not ideal if you want to just set it on a table. It’s designed to be mounted to the wall or a crib mount so when resting on a table, the viewing angle cannot be lowered further. Secondly, the camera has connection issues with the app when I am away from the home network. The apps says the camera is not connected to the network but when I connect to the home network, the app connects to the camera immediately.
Very good quality, basic baby monitor. Viewable through your cell phone (there is not a separate monitor included with this setup). Setting it up was easy and straightforward. The live feed to my phone is crisp and clear. I like that it send alerts to my phone when attention is needed .. as we always have our phones on us this is a huge plus.Night vision is good for being a basic baby monitor. But is definately viewable.Overall pretty happy with this and would recommend to new parents. 5 STARS
