Step 1: Clean and dry the surface you want to place your child safety locks
Step 2: Ensure the lock is not interfering with the opening of the sliding door or window.
Step 3: Peel the protective paper off the 3M adhesive tape, stick it to the surface and press down firmly for a few seconds.
Step 4: Let the adhesive dry for 48 hours before using the baby door lock. Keep it flat down for the initial 48 hours.

Great for keeping pets out of the closet
I have cats that will open my sliding doors any chance they get – this is easy to install and works like a charm. Just measure the gap between your doors to ensure the product will fit. Like others have commented, this will probably not be strong enough to keep children out, but is great for pets.

Simple and effective
I have a very smart cat who knows how to open normal doors, sliding doors, cabinet doors and drawers. So I had to find some effective ways to keep him out of places that can be dangerous for him. Between all safety locks I bought, this one is my favorite. It is simple and very easy to install. It doesn’t get stuck and it’s easy to lock and unlock. The only thing is that you need a clearance between the two doors (or windows) so the lock can fit between the two when it’s unlocked and folded. You wouldn’t be able to slide the door open if the gap is too small.Overall I’m very happy with this product but my cat is definitely not!

I did not realize that this came with 4 locks so for the price it’s a good value (but I only needed one lock). It was easy for my husband to install and it works well.

Game Changer to Keep Kids and Pets out of closets!
Game Changer! We have double sliding mirrored closet doors in our bedroom. We also have 2 long haired cats… try as we may, we could NOT keep the cats out of the closets, resulting in our clothes being constantly covered in fur. Works well
I put this product on our sliding mirrored closet doors in our 2.5 year olds room. He kept pulling everything out of it. They are a life saver, I can rest east knowing he’s not getting into trouble when I put him in his room.
These were PERFECT for my escaping toddler…… for about two weeks. We put one on our back slider, which gets frequent use and worked perfectly until it didn’t. It started staying up just enough when the door was open that you couldn’t close the door! We had to completely remove our slider to get it unstuck and get it to close. Hoping this was just a fluke, because it worked perfect in the beginning!
My 5 year old son was able to open the sliding glass door, with very little effort. All four of them.
