Love this little guy. Super cute and soft. Works very well after putting him in the microwave to heat. Stays warm for what feels like a nice long time. Would definitely purchase again.
I experience chronic back pain (just regular muscle soreness, not a herniated disc or anything like that) and applying heat or cold are some of the only things that give relief (TENs & CBD also). Because I chronically overheat, I prefer the cold stuff. Unfortunately this extremely cute plush giraffe toy doesn’t seem to absorb the cold – at all. I followed the instructions which said to put it in a bag and leave it in the freezer at least 4 hours – I froze it for well over four hours, in a freezer that works plenty well with all my ice packs, and when I take it out I can’t even tell that its been in the freezer.Fortunately it retains heat (from the microwave) far better. I find the shape of the giraffe far from ideal for applying heat (not being flat), but I was able to nestle it behind my neck while sitting at the chair at my desk (which has a headrest) and that way it could warm the back of my head okay.I know I’ve already said this but this thing is ridiculously cute. I hated to put it in the plastic bag in the freezer because I was worried it wouldn’t be able to breathe.
