The Room to Grow Pod is two sizes in one — it fits newborns who are 7-14 pounds and up to 26 inches long, but can be expanded to fit babies who are 14-18 pounds and up to 30 inches long. As your baby grows, it’s simple to expand the swaddle by unzipping the sides. You can extend its length by unsnapping the bottom band. Easy to swaddle
Super easy to use, baby sleeps better and it makes night time diaper changes a breeze
Weâve tried 5 different swaddles, so far this one is the best and at a great price. Itâs simple, easy to get on baby with all the zippers open and then snug up by closing the side zippers. No holes or layers or noisy Velcro that allow baby to wiggle out their hands and arms, not too tight so baby can still pull their hands up toward their face if they want. I wish they had more colors and I wish the shoulder area was a little more fitted, it does bunch up a little bit around the shoulders but not enough to block their airway. A panel between their legs with silent Velcro to keep it in place would make it perfect. Itâs also light weight, perfect for warmer climates and has a protective zipper strip inside so it can be comfortably worn with only a diaper in warm weather.
These work wonderfully! I love that it is adjustable for the size of baby.
My baby was 10 lbs at birth, and he hasn’t slowed down on growing. He was already too tall for this; he wears a size 3-6 months (higher end) and he’s only about to turn 3 months. Also, the zipper KEPT coming in done while I was trying to zip it up if he moved. I had to wrestle my baby to get him into it. Not fun for either of us.
These swaddles aren’t snug enough to keep my baby’s arms down, but we use the double swaddle technique (look it up on YouTube. It’s life changing) and have a small blanket folded into a triangle to initially wrap his arms to his sides, then put this swaddle over the top. Works amazingly and there’s no loose fabric like a traditional blanket swaddle.I also have the regular zipper swaddle pod things, but they got too short so fast for our long baby. This fishtail one has a lot more room for his feet! The only thing that would improve this is if it also somehow had armholes you could open when the baby started rolling.
Worked well for one night. Then on the second night we zipped it up and our baby moved his arms and the zipper broke wide open. Also the seams on the shoulders stretched and donât look like they would have held up for long. Not a good product.
