Reviews

  1. spiral bounding!
Much better than the regular paperback variety.

  2. Difficult level
I found these puzzles difficult. I refer a medium difficulty puzzle

  3. Love having the puzzles ready at a moment’s notice !!
Our daily newspaper has been scaling back; cutting page sizes, removing sports reviews, deleting multiple comics, and now they’ve taken out the large Sunday crossword puzzles. All understandable as media faces monetary challenges. But removing the large crosswords was my bridge. So I looked to Amazon to find crossword puzzle books that I could keep at the table and do whenever I wanted. This one didn’t disappoint.I was used to the LA Times Sunday crossword, so if you want a comparison, I’d say the satisfaction is pretty equal between the two.I am extremely ecstatic that I found this book, and would highly recommend it for anyone who likes a bigger puzzle challenge. And if your paper starts downsizing like ours has been, don’t despair, order one of the Washington Post puzzle books and get your happy back on.

  4. I much prefer the Post’s Sunday crosswords to those of the Opposition, the New York Times. I can sometimes get most of the Post’s answers, only rarely those of the Times. The Post calls for wit and mental gymnastics and clever thinking, the Times calls for extraordinary feats of memory and fighting off the temptation of cheating with the WWW search engines. Both are A+ but I have come to prefer the Post. One of those big fat collections such as this one will last me several years. A collection of the Times’ wears out.

  5. I am a die hard NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle fan. I have collected every available issue and have done some twice. I needed a new source of that level puzzle. I’ve been disappointed in the past, but then I found, at the end of one of the NYT books, a sample puzzle from the Washington Post. It was great.I ordered this book immediately, as well as Volume 15 in their series. I look forward to collecting this series as well. I would very definitely recommend this for NYT Sunday-level solvers.

  6. Meh. I’ve seen better, I’ve seen worse.

  7. Haven’t used the puzzle book yet, but I’m sure it will be great ! Been doing the WP Sunday puzzles for years. Thanks !

  8. Love the spiral-bound format and quality paper. These seem more difficult than some other Sunday puzzles from the WP, but the answers are in the back!
