Love it ,… I Iive in the uk, these are the only baby monitor I could find that has battery powered optional for both units.**Buy an extra battery set or have extra 3 chargeable AAA batteries at handas this only comes with one set.**The baby unit does drains the battery quickly but with charable batteries you can just plug them in and with will stop charging automatically.I’ve been scared if there’s a power cut that any other baby monitor would stop working as all I’ve seen only parent unit is battery powered the baby unit is always mains. I have a camera but if the WiFi cuts or the power goes I’m stumped and it only gives me a notification to my phone if there’s movement.So I go these shipped to UK so far:- Great sound- parent unit lights up if noise detected (white noise machine is ignored)- nightlight function handy for feeding.- Decent range (I’ve sat in the backgarden and heard the baby over monitor when my WiFi came cut off)- temperature feature is rough but handyI have not used the talk or music function I don’t think I will either.
I got this baby monitor because it was one of very few models that does not require a wall plug for the baby unit. We use it when travelling and/or camping but also when the baby is napping outside in her stroller after a walk.+ Does what I need it to do.+ Belt clips on both units that can also be used to attach a carabiner to suspend the baby unit and attach the parent monitor to your belt so you don’t forget it and leave it unattended.+ Battery powered and rechargeable baby unit+ Good noice filter that cancels out static and wind+ Nice case to stow all parts when travelling- Quite limited battery capacity, needs recharge after only a few hours. Barely manages one full night. This can be mitigated though by using a powerbank to charge units while in use.- Bundled USB-C Cables not conforming to standard, i e can only be used with baby monitor. The monitors units themselves seem to accept other cables though.- Baby units temperature sensor is very slow to respond. When baby unit is taken from inside and used outside the sensor takes upwards of 15-20 minutes to display correct temperature- Lullaby-function seems pretty useless, the speaker on the baby unit is of very low quality so the songs are quite noicey and doesn’t really sound that relaxing, at least not to me..
Initially worked well, but after about 6 months of infrequent use, started having issues.Pro: both ends are battery powered, meaning they’re great for travel or use outside, and you don’t need to park baby next to an outlet to ensure use. Audio quality was pretty decentCon: after about 6 months, they stopped responding well to the button commands. Refusing to turn on or turn off. When they won’t turn off, if left to run the battery down, then recharged, they worked again after, like the system needed a reboot. However, not turning on just meant they weren’t useable at all. But then after a few days would start again.They worked well for a few months, so can’t complain too too much as they are cheap. However I wouldn’t buy them again
I received my baby monitor Monday and put regular batteries in it, tested it, it worked fine. I turned off both units and left them on my table. Friday I picked up my great nephew and brought him home with me. He fell asleep in his car seat so I got my monitor units, turned them on and left the parent unit on my table and went to put the baby unit in the car with my nephew. The light went off on the baby unit before I got to the car. I have ordered rechargeable batteries and will try those when I receive them. Hopefully the rechargeable batteries will do the trick. I really liked the idea that both units could operate on battery power instead of at least one unit needing to be plugged in.
I am using this cute owl monitor to help predator proof my Guinea Fowl coop and it works perfect. They are both portable and had a really good distance bc my coop is in the backyard and the parent monitor is in my kitchen. It’s easy to set up – just turn it on and it sends you an audible sounds when the battery is low so you’re never in a pinch. The audio is very crisp, I can hear my birds whistling in their sleep and if they are alarmed, I can quickly run out there and scare off any raccoons. This is a great supplement for overall predator proofing strategy.
