This they can explore using their senses of touch and sound. The colours are bright, the tails have lots of different textures, across the two little books you get. The front and back cover are crinkly.I would definitely add these to a baby basket, new mum gift, as they are going to be the first step to reading. I honestly had my daughter and son on my knee reading them stories, exploring books as soon as they could hold their head up a little, we are talking a couple of months, maybe less. Both were good readers at school, but clever in so many ways. Reading is a gift that just keeps giving. If he can’t read you miss out on so much.As a teacher, I simply can’t express how important it is to provide reading material from the start. If you can’t afford to buy them books, join the Library and attend baby reading sessions, most are free!Happy to recommend these, okay there are no words, but at this early stage that is not important. This would be a building block for later.
I got these books for my 6 month old baby, she is visually impaired so relies on toys that have sound or different textures/materials. These were a winner as soon as I gave them to her! The arrived in a nice little zip bag, the outside pages are really nice and crinkly sounding, the middle pages are just soft and have no sound. There are squeakers in the front and back pages and each of the tails attached to the books are a different material or feel which is nice. She gets very excited and flaps her arms around with these books to hear the crinkle noise, she also enjoys eating the dinosaur tails! Overall very pleased with these and it’s a nice addition to my daughter’s toy box.
