Reviews

  1. Not the greatest
I’ve had a couple things go wrong with this and it’s not even a year old. The temperature gage sometimes quits working or reading and one time baby’s room got insanely hot and I was unaware since it wasn’t reading it. Then often the volume button doesn’t work… it either will zoom in or flip to the other camera instead of adjusting the volume which I’ve learned to live with but a bit annoying

  2. Love it, minor flaw
Love the options and functionality it provides. Only flaw in monitor is that the lower volume button sometimes sets off the zoom feature (which is the button above). Annoying, but not worth the hassle to return/replace. Edit to add: battery life deteriorated significantly after 1 year of use.

  3. We have a 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old and have had multiple monitors over the years (original Infant Optics Dx8, Vtech newer model) and when our other (newer model) Vtech broke after just 13 months I ordered multiple baby monitors with 2 cameras to find a good replacement. We ended up with this one, despite its flaws.Pros:-split screen with sound from both monitors (not at the same time but it monitors both and switches sound to the one that makes sound) – many monitors I tried had Split View but wouldn’t monitor both sounds at the same time, that kind of defeats the purpose of Split View if you have two kids.-decent range of volume for the parent unit. You can have it very quiet (at night) or loud (at a party). Many other monitors wouldn’t go quiet enough for my liking.-Vox mode: this turns of sound and screen (at night) and turn the monitor on when it detects sound from the baby (you can adjust the sensitivity of this so it doesn’t turn on for white noise)- my 4 year old likes the projector and night light but note that projector will not stay on all night- super easy set up-good kick stand (vs our precious vetch that had a different monitor stand that would always fall over)-intuitive monitor with buttons that make sense (volume control, switch cameras without needing to go into the camera menu)Cons:-bad picture quality at night, at least compared to others. This wasn’t a deal breaker to me since my kids are olde but I wouldn’t love it if I had a newborn and wanted to see exactly if he’s breathing etc.-very zoomed in frame, not wide angle. Some monitors I tried showed me a lot of the room, this one is very focused even when installed across the room.-heavy-ish parent unit. It’s 5” which is fairly standard size but feels heavy. If you carry it around a lot that may bother you.Overall this is the best monitor with two cameras and split screen that I could find for my needs (older kids).

  4. works.

  5. So after a few weeks of use I can say that this is an inferior product. Definitely not an upgrade on previous models. Some of the main reasons are….the usb charging socket has been replaced with a bespoke version which is limiting. The monitor really doesn’t work well with two cameras and doesn’t automatically switch to the camera detecting sound or motion. The range seems very poor compared to the previous version and the night vision is also worse now. We have since replaced ours with a no name Chinese product which is far better with regards to range, functionality and price. All the mains plugs are US not UK. The seller has added two converter plugs, but unfortunately you need three to use both cameras!

  6. Ok I want to clarify the questions that affected the star ratings don’t do the stars justice. This is a GREAT package for the price. No need to spend any more if you’re only looking to monitor your children.1. Picture quality / 4 – No this is not an HD 4k blah blah camera, but it is GREAT quality for great value. You can see your children with no issues, although it is not “crystal clear” but it doesn’t need to be. The night vision is awesome as well with no issues telling if your fussy children are playing around still.2. Battery Life / 3 – The battery doesn’t last SUPER long (haven’t really timed it) but I try to leave it plugged in anyway, only removing it from the chord when I am on the go about the house.3. Sheerness? – This shouldn’t have been a rating question, should be replaced with quality, so that’s what I rated it on Quality / 5. The cameras come with everything you need to mount them, the mounts are stable and have adjusting knobs so you can position it any which way. The monitor in no way feels cheap, and the features are awesome, with the bonus of night vision you also get a cute color changeable night light, and projecting stars (but keep in mind if you mount near the ceiling the projected stars aren’t all they could be). If you plan on mounting on ceilings or near, keep in mind the chords aren’t SUPER long, I had to mount mine about 1 foot off the ceiling) so they’re probably about 6 foot chords. Be sure to get some cable covers if you’re using for a toddlers bedroom. Now that my rating questions are out of the way, with a little extra details. Here’s my experience and why I wanted these.I have a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. They play as kids do, and no fair to my little girl she can’t quite talk yet, only being able to say a little bit. So my boy is ALWAYS “telling on her” or one of them gets a boo boo and only he can tell the story, like Mr. Teddy did it. So we decided to get this monitor set and put one in each of their room without telling them. During playtime we watched and discovered Little mister likes to throw things at the camera (which he got a timeout for and explained not to do that, since he’s old enough to understand, but he may have not known what it was beforehand) and little missy likes climbing on her toybox and trying to fly (which she got corner time for and a big NO NO NO, since that’s what works for her lol)Both kids are now aware of the cameras (its been like 3 weeks or so now) little missy loves the night light, music, and stars. Where as little mister is always cautious with what he does, never knowing if he is being watched or not.We don’t always monitor them we let them be kids, but I’m telling you since purchasing this I have seen a big difference in how they play with each other and I’m glad we didn’t wait any longer. We put a stop to ruff playing and dangerous actions before they developed any further. The piece of mind a simple camera can bring can change the way your child develops, and based on how you react can be for the better.

  7. This product is absolutely useless, we bought it in Australia – no where on the product listing does it state the plug type and we assumed it was a USB based plug. However we were incorrect – we cannot buy new adapters here and using an international adapter is a fire hazard overtime. We were so excited about trying this product however it has just disappointed us extremely.Seller should just sell adapters or the correct plug or just specify and not waste everyones time and money.
