Reviews

  1. Great camera but poor battery life
I love how smooth all of the functions of this camera are to operate. Everything works very well. We even purchased a “like new” unit to save some money. But just like I’ve seen on a couple reviews, the battery life could be a lot better. I would say it lasts about 3 hours on a full charge. But, because my baby naps a couple times and then sleeps the entire night, there isn’t six full hours really to give it a full charge. It takes a long time to charge and it dies quickly. It usually lasts 2 hours for us unplugged. But that being said, you are mostly (if not always) going to be using this in your home. And even in my 100 year old home, I can find a plug in each room I’m in to set up the monitor. Not ideal, but not a big deal. I really enjoy this baby monitor system.**update: battery life gets worse! Much worse! I had the baby monitor plugged in for 3 hours to charge it this morning and when I unplugged it. I have ONE bar of charge showing. This only had the monitor working for 5minutes before the battery symbol turned red and started beeping because it had low battery… NOT good. This monitor after being used for barely over a year is now always needing to be plugged in. It will not work unplugged for more than 1min. I’m very disappointed that it has to always remain plugged in.

  2. Tilt pan zoom could have used more range
Night vison quality is mid quality id say close to 720 for day view battery and range are pretty good lost a star because the range for tilt and pan and zoom is pretty slim in the tilt is a little disappointing considering the older gen had much more mobility

  3. Works well
Works well, for some reason that batteries in these things dont last very long after you use them for awhile. same thing happened with our old model. Also the 2nd camera doesnt have the temp or anything, only the primary camera

  4. The best
Absolutely love this camera! I keep one in playroom so I can cook peacefully and it works great! You can move the camera every direction so u can follow the kids where u need to. The view is clear and good quality. Also no problem with signal through the house (we have 3 story house).

  5. WORST MONITOR EVER
This thing never connects. The first one I had a green screen appeared and I thought I got a bad one, I sent it back and they replaced it. Now this one will NEVER connect. It’s been days and it never tells me if my baby’s crying.the picture is delayed when it is connected but the signal is red. I could be right beside the camera and it does not fix itself. When the signal is green, it works well but that’s probably only once a week.

  6. Good monitor!
Split screen and changing screen work great! Stars on ceiling don’t move but kids like them anyways! Melodies are just like other versions of vtech. Distance isn’t as good as it claims! Batter life good! Currently have had them for 6 months

  7. Great functions… just wished they worked and I could see my kid
We tried this for my toddler and infant. I was so happy with the functions available on this baby monitor, but sadly am sending it back for a few reasons: 1) the battery life is unacceptable. It won’t even get through my baby’s two naps, and it doesn’t charge fully when plugged in between naps. 2) the night vision is terrible for my toddler’s room where we have the camera set up about 8 feet from him so that we’re able to pan the room. I can see where he is in bed but it’s so grainy and sometimes I don’t know if it’s him or a pile of blankets. 3) It doesn’t always turn on for either child’s cries despite my having tinkered with the vox settings. On the positive, I really liked that pushing any button on the parent unit wakens the screen and also that it’s a one-button push to flip between cameras.

  8. Great, but night vision and zoom are lacking
Love that you can flip between cameras, but the night vision is quite blurry and there’s only two zoom settings. Still worth it for the cost.
