clean easily, and are just super-practical
These poaches work really well! They close extremely securely (definitely no leakage!), clean easily, and are just super-practical. I am using them for older kids (and me) for smoothies, apple sauce etc. for school and on trips/outings and thus am happy with the largest size (7oz). It still fits in a lunch box or snack bag easily and does not take much space because it’s pretty flat. It’s great to fill a bunch of them and freeze them in advance for the week, and if one puts them in the lunch box frozen, they double as an icepack … It is such a great alternative to the one-time-use poaches in terms of environment and cost. The kids in school have been asking my kids about them and I am thinking of giving a few as gifts so that they get inspired to switch to reusable ones, too. The company responded super-fast when I emailed them to ask how to dry the poaches after washing (simple trick is to put the lid inside to keep the poach from closing; I guess I could have thought of that!). Love this product and enjoy using it!
Awsome product
After using the pouchs in different occations and really trying them out. I can finally tell you my thought and comment. I give you perfect score. Here are the reasons I like about them:- They are good for carrying around. Just like those commercial food pouch, but with my home made food. So healthy food for my daughter- They work great with foods thsy are firm. I used a lot of white rice in my baby foods. The baby foods tend to be quite dense and firm, not runny like the commercial ones. Because the open area is big, I have no problem squeezing the foods out onto a spoon and then feed right away.- Heat up fast. After the food is defrost, just dump the pouch into hot water and … WA LA…..- Durable, I freeze them and defrose them in room temp, or in hot water a few times… no problem. But since it did not indicate I can sterilize it, so i never put them in steamer or broiling water to defrose and/ or reheat.- Round corners made it easier to clean. So there you go. These are my real thought. I am ordering more now from Amazon and I will recommand my friends for sure. Awsome products.
Great for on the go – Amazing customer service
UPDATE: 4 Months later, these little pouches are still going strong. The company commented on my review and offered the suggestion of washing the pouches with a baby bottle brush, which strangely had not occurred to me. They also wanted to ensure I was happy with the product, which I assured them I was, despite the staining and not quite being able to fit exactly what I wanted to. The customer service at this company is amazing. They truly do seem to care and they want you to be happy with their products. Do to the small issue of staining and size, they offered to replace with the larger size if I wanted to try. I was honestly not expecting this. Great customer service deserves to be recognized. I will definitely order more (since my initial review, I have re-ordered myself).I think these are a great for kids who love squeeze packets. They’re excellent for eating on the go. I have used them for baby food, yogurt and applesauce. I was looking for one that would be easy to clean. These are dishwasher safe but I’m not sure how clean they actually get in the dishwasher. I can fit a standard size sponge inside to hand wash, but doesn’t necessarily get into all the corners. The key is to immediately wash or at least rinse after use. I fill with hot water and a little soap and shake with the lid on. Then scrub inside. I understand this isn’t necessarily likely to happen if used for school lunches etc. We saved half the package for when these fall apart, but so far they’re standing up to regular use. They do get a little stiff, maybe from the dishwasher? I expect they will eventually begin to crack but so far so good. They do retain stains and smells from some types of foods (items wth tomatoes, etc). I got the 5 oz size which says it holds 150 ml. I add 128 ml baby food packets and it just barely fits, with some coming up the zipper seal when I try to close it. I put the pouch upside down in a tall glass for easy filling. Picture shows size and also discolouring.
Satisfied!
Good product. My little one is able to use it just like he used the disposable food pouches, and it’s indeed quite easy to fill. I like the design (especially the planet pattern with the transparent parts that allows to see the food: my child loves this). The are sturdy and so far, I had no leak. The one down side is that they are not quite as easy to clean as I was hoping. They clean easily if you rinse them right away, but if the content dries up a bit at the seams, it gets much trickier to wash. You’ll need something like a milk bottle brush to clean it well.
Terrific pouches, hope they last a long time.
I have only used these for a few months, but they seem awesome. I tried to put water in to see if there were any leaks, and they held up to the test! I hope these will have a long life. Also like having the different sizes. The zipper bottoms seem really sturdy and solid, and make for easy cleaning and filling.Customer service has also been exceptional. One of the lids accidentally got thrown out, and when I inquired about replacement lids, they offered to send me a replacement but also suggested that any pouch lid will fit. Perfect!I haven’t put them in the dishwasher but to dry them on the rack, I pop the lid in the bottom of the pouch so air can get in to dry it out, plus it pinches the lid in place so they don’t get separated! I stick my pouches into empty mason jars when I fill them so that they’re “held” open and I don’t get food all over the zipper. We have already bought another pack of these because we love them so far.
Me gustaron mucho, muy útiles y cierran súper bien. Buena compra
For some reason my toddler only likes fruit puree in these pouches so these are perfect! especially when we are on the go or i need to make snacks in advance for him to bring to school or when grandma is baby-sitting. Easy to clean and easy to use! love it!
These are great! Easy to use. It’s worth the price of buying multiple sets if you batch cook because these are re-usable and seem to handle freezing, heating, and being put in the dishwasher well. They are so easy to clean if you do it right away and they easily dry on the bottle rack. You can also wash in the dishwasher if you prefer. I haven’t had any problems with buildup inside when I have placed in dishwasher. Quite a few of my mom friends saw us using them and asked where they could get some. They ordered their own sets and love them. Now we all have to use our dry erase markers to write down our children’s names on them. Wish I would have come across these sooner – would have saved so much money! The variety of sizes are great, and a little tip for filling is to hold the hard sides in some and you’ll be able to fill them up more. Will try to add a video if I get a chance. These are compatible with the Infantino squeeze station, but I prefer to fill them from the bottom – no extra equipment required for filling. I made my own baby/toddler food by cooking in batches every 3-4 weeks. I like to shop around and read reviews before deciding to use a product. I started out using Kiinde for pumping and storing milk, and it seemed natural to continue to use their system when making solid food for my baby. I had to buy an accessory kit and kept with it for quite some time, but the bags were just too expensive, so I decided to switch to another system. I transitioned over to Infantino and bought the squeeze station. I liked the concept – in theory, it should have been less messy and provided for less wasted food than pouring food through a funnel like I had to with the Kiinde system. Unfortunately, I found Infantino to be quite messy, especially if you had a bit of food that wasn’t completely pureed. Love, love, love these pouches. I’ve told all of the expecting mammas I know to add them to their registry!
Absolutely love this product! :)I’ll tell ya why…1) The zip lock is sturdy and doesn’t ever come open even though my son is rough with it. (Throws it, stomps on it, sits on it, etc…)2) I love the earth window on the back (I can make sure the food is flowing and my son likes to watch the food flow!)3) Very quick & easy to refill.4) Material feels solid and high quality!5) If you lose a cap, no worries. The caps from the store bought pouches will fit as a replacement. (We don’t use the caps anyhow since we use the ChooMee Sip’n pouch toppers, but nice to know in case one gets lost).6) I love the look of the pouches (& I love the packaging too). All beautifully designed with lovely earth tones and inspired by nature.7) Obviously b/c it’s reusable and eco-friendly!FYIs:1) B/c of the zip lock at the bottom it doesn’t hold as much as you’d think, but that’s ok.2) I bought both the medium & large size. (The middle size for my 14 month old and the largest size for myself for smoothies, soy yogurt, etc). At first when I pulled out one for my son I thought it looked big but really it’s the perfect size for him! And as he gets older I’ll give him the bigger size that I’m currently using.3) The main thing he eats from these pouches is soaked Chia seeds (forms in a gelatinous slurry) mixed with pureed fruit like mashed banana, Applesauce & mashed strawberries. The flow is perfect even with a chunky mixture like that! My son is obsessed with the chia seeds and eats at least 6-8 pouches of this mixture every day, mostly in between his regular meals. I make all the pouch mixtures the night before so it’s ready for my ever-ravenous baby in the morning 😉 Warming them up a bit is easy – just stick the pouch in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes!
I have a 2.5 year old girl and a 11 month old boy. My oldest has always been a good eater. I made my own baby food for her, and she ate pretty much everything I gave her in good volumes. Still does for the most part. My son, on the other hand has been nothing but challenging in this area. My biggest challenge has been that he refused the spoon and insisted on feeding himself. But a kid can only survive so long on Cheerios! One day out of desperation, I tried a store-bought pouch like these. My daughter never liked them until she was much older, but he sucked it right down at about 8 months old – he just loved that he could hold it himself and he “got” the idea of sucking on the top. But they were SO expensive, and I already had baby food made that I want to use, so I bought them every once in a while, but still struggled to find other ways to feed him that he would take to, all the while loving when I “got to” give him a “sucky thing” (like my daughter calls them) because they were clean, easy and he would eat the whole thing, so I knew he had a full belly.Eventually, I looked into “self-fill” pouches once I found they existed. I was a little frustrated by what I found first, because you needed to buy a fill station or pump, and since they filled from the little spout on the top, they would have been really hard to clean, and they were technically not intended to be used more than once, etc., etc., etc. Then I stumbled upon Nature’s Little Squeeze after following links, consumer suggestions and commenters recommendations on Amazon. First of all, I loved all the specs: made to be reusable (yay!), dishwasher safe, freezer safe, easy to clean and easy for fill because they open from the bottom (I loved this feature most of all). They also had the best reviews of any other “fill from the bottom” pouches I found. They seemed a little more expensive than some of the other kinds, but I trusted the reviewers and my gut and figured it would be worth the money if they worked better than the others! And they worked SO well!! I gave one each to my kids at breakfast time and just put some applesauce in there. First of all, I was happy that all I needed was a spoon. The last thing I need in the kitchen is another gadget to store or clean! Lord knows I have enough dishes! Then, they both devoured them! And when they both wanted more, I just opened up the bottom and spooned in more applesauce! Amazing. Added bonuses: my daughter likes her applesauce warm, so I just dropped the filled pouch in warm water and done. When they had some leftovers, I just popped them in the fridge. Later, at dinner, I had my son finish his leftover applesauce, rinsed it out (yes, it is TOTALLY easy to clean – I was even able to stick a bottle brush in there which wasn’t necessary this time, but it was nice to know I could), and then put a jar of baby food in it that I hadn’t been able to get him to eat, and he sucked the whole thing down in a couple minutes. It was a revelation. I wish I would have bought these earlier! Cheaper, easier, less waste and I can put whatever I want in them. I can see so much potential: not only can I “sneak” a bunch of nutritious food in there for both of my kids, but I can even just put my frozen cubes of homemade baby food that have gone uneaten for months in them and let them thaw in there if I want or use up the jars of baby food that I was trying to figure out how to get rid of.Also, we are traveling to New Zealand in a couple months. I am excited to think that I can just throw these in our luggage empty and have an easy, cheap and familiar feeding option once we get there with no added bulk or weird customs issues or spillage worries. I won’t need anything but a spoon to fill them and water to wash them – and I’m pretty sure New Zealand has those – even the airports for that matter. Hooray!THANK YOU. In one day, this genius product has solved a lot of my problems without adding anything to my already over-loaded to-do list.
