Great Value / Good Quality
I do not usually leave reviews for my Amazon purchases however the Yogasleep sound machine has surpassed all expectations. I am a shift worker who purchased the sound machine a few years ago to help eliminate busy nieghbourhood daytime noises (especially in the summer). The sound machine controls are very simple to use and is very effective at producing various pleasing sounds to help eliminate background noise. I have used my Yogasleep sound machine for 3 years without any issues and would most definately recommend it to anyone having trouble sleeping due to background noises, especially shift workers.
Just what I needed!
I was prompted to buy this after a friend gifted me a Marpac Hush for my son (smaller, portable, fewer sounds, but PERFECT for a nursery). I used his once to take a nap and fell asleep almost immediately and decided it was worth trying this larger model out.I’ve had sound machines in the past and given them away because their sounds were terrible, low quality, and looped horribly, but this one is worth it. It’s a little larger and plugs in, so it’s definitely something not meant to travel with (but the Hush is perfect for that) and it feels sturdy, not flimsy. The settings allow for a 6 or 8 hour timer, and the volume is powerful! I have it on the second lowest setting and it’s perfect. After tinkering with the various sounds, I’ve found more than one that works well for me and doesn’t annoy my husband.If you have trouble sleeping and are looking at a noise machine, this is worth considering! It would also be great for masking noise in shared work spaces, or where one might be working from home in a multi-residential unit and hear sounds from neighbouring occupants.
Great sound machine with multiple sound options
I personally own 3 of these. We started with 1 as my wife wanted a white noise machine to sleep. We were so happy with the options and how well it blocked any outside noise that we bought one for our babies room. The soothing music works great for sleeping and naps during the day, it even blocks our dog barking. We ended up buying a 3rd for our baby sitter to use for naps. Great price, I’ve seen some other units sell for much more with less sound options.
Authentic sounds, easy to use
This is my second white noise sound machine.Somewhat annoyed that the machine did not come with wall adaptor, luckily I had an extra.I found the noise produced by the Yogasleep Whish to be very authentic, no tinny or echoing noises.I have travelled with my noise machine and think a battery operated version would be helpful instead of having to bring cords and adaptor on trips.The volume is easily adjustable, although sometimes when fumbling in the dark I have accidently changed the noise selection setting vs the volume setting. Have learned to set it before bed and leave it.My first machine I used for several months and then it stopped shutting off. I had to totally unplug machine in order to turn the noise off. When I called Yoga sleep they supplied new machine at no cost to me. Found their customer service to be very helpful!Would purchase item again if I needed another.

So disappointing Iâve bought 2 of these in under 12 months. They both randomly just stopped working and wonât turn back on. The cord that attaches for charging is so loose. Iâm so disappointed. This is way too expensive to break within weeks/ months of brand new purchase. Absolutely ridiculous. Now Iâm left with no sound machine for my baby, not a problem you want to have as a parent. DO NOT BUY!
Great for all ages with fantastic sounds that are true to their names.
My 3 year old lately has been waking up early in the AM (3/4/5) because of the train. We have a track behind our building. I purchased the Marpac Whish White Noise Sound Machine and it has been the best investment. She has been sleeping throughout the night. I love that with this machine I can set the timer to play 6-8 hrs or have it on continuous. Another feature I love too is the different sounds and the volume control. Its small enough to carry with you while you travel. Which we did when we went to the cottage. Again my kids slept through the night without any regard to the noise outside.My mom and grandmother both loved it so I have purchased two more for them.
Out of control
First of all, it does the job. But I would not recommended this product. 1) there is no indication for control, everytime I select something, i have to assume it has been set. 2) the timer barely works, it played non-stop in most of the days. 3) the volume cannot be controlled unless I have to recycle the power. Overall, I don’t understand why a speaker typed product would have so many random results.
This sound machine is crazy-easy to use and comes with a nice variety of soothing sounds to peruse. First, the on-off switch is big, protruding, and easy to use — just push it. Second, the different types of sounds are all listed on the top of the machine, each with its own label and button (other sound machines I’ve tried require pressing a single button over and over to get to its various sounds — not difficult, but not as easy to accomplish as with this machine). Third, it comes with a few sounds that are not included on other sound machines, like meditate and chimes. And finally, it doesn’t take up much space. Dislikes? Neither the on-off button nor the various sound buttons light up when the machine is on, and the it is a bit more on the expensive side. Still, I’d highly recommend.
Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass es funktioniert, aber tatsächlich überdeckt es Geräusche die sonst störend für den Schlaf sind. Zuerst muss man sich etwas dran gewöhnen und die richtige Klangart (davon gibt es einige) und Lautstärke für sich herausfinden, aber dann ist es eine wunderbare Ein-und Durchschlafhilfe.Meine Kaufempfehlung hat das Gerät!
Lo consiglio per il costo e per le dimensioni, ma essendo abituato al marpac classic che è più basic ed ha meno funzioni di questo ho virato su quello. Il classic ha un solo suono con due tonalità di volume (più basso o più alto, non c’è l’ opzione per alzare o abbassare il volume e una volta inserita la spina parte direttamente al volume preimpostato (questo no, bisogna ogni volta regolare il volume desiderato e ho notato che se la corrente va via e ritorna poi bisogna accenderlo manualmente, il classic no). A differenza del classic non si scalda mai, rimane freddissimo anche dopo molte ore acceso e si può attivare l’ opzione spegnimento, inoltre si possono scegliere tonalità diverse e c’è l’ opzione per alzare o abbassare il volume.
