Q: Are these diapers one size and fit for new-born baby?
A: The diapers are all in one size, you could get different sizes by adjusting the snaps. If the babies’ weigh less than 12 pound, we suggest you use new-born diapers.
Q: How many covers and inserts would you recommend buying to start out with a newborn?
A: Between 20 and 24. Seems like a lot, but baby goes through at least 6 or 7 a day and you don’t want to wash them every single day.
Q: How to avoid mold problems?
A: We recommends bleaching once a month, try bleach, or sun drying, making sure they dry completely between uses.

Great Diaper for Money Spent!
These diapers are fantastic. I have had no issues with leaking. I use these all day and overnight. I should mention that I have a girl, so it might be different if you have a boy! I use two soakers for the night and 1 Alva soaker and a smaller Terry cloth pad during the day. They wash nicely and I hang dry the outside covers. These dry super quickly! If you have hard water, you will have to do a vinegar soak about every 6 weeks to get rid of ammonia smell. I would also highly recommend getting some disposable liners. These are super thin and make cleaning up dirty diapers so easy. If your baby just goes pee, they can go into the wash with the rest of the diapers and be used again. If it’s a really messy diaper, you have the option of throwing them away. Because they’re made from cloth or fabric they break down a lot more easier. I’ve reused the “disposable” liners 3-4 times before they breakdown too much. If your starting out, I would recommend getting at least 2 sets, if you wash every 2-3 days. 3 sets would allow you to go longer between washing.
Easy, durable and great price
These are my favourite cloth diapers. We have tried a lot of different brands/types and these are my favourite. This is the best deal you will find. When fitted correctly you will rarely have a blow-out. We do a heavy-duty wash with regular free&gentle detergent, and dry them with lint balls. Easy.
Love theses, but cheaper on Alva siteâ¦
As a first time cloth diapering mom, I have used these for 2 months now and I absolutely love them. They wash and dry very well, and the colours are great too. They are a cheaper brand but so far I have no complaints with quality. The inserts however are not the most absorbent as they are pure microfibre inside. Paired with other inserts these diapers are great.I do wish however that I would have bought them from Alva website directly as they are soooo much cheaper in bulk. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that I find them overpriced on the Amazon site.
Great diapers, on a budget or not 🙂
Itâs only been a few weeks, but Iâm already impressed by these. Iâve had not a single issue with urine leaks and only one blow-out (but that happens with any kind of diaper, letâs just be honest).If people are having leaking issues, then I would suggest 1) tweaking the fit on your babe with the snap closure system, 2) playing around with the number and combination of inserts, and/or 3) changing your baby more often because hey, maybe they pee more often than someone elseâs child?You really should not be leaving your LO in a wet diaper for more than 2-3 hours anyway ð¬ Would you like to sit in your own waste for hours on end? Probably not lolPlus the fit has been great and my little guy actually by far prefers cloth now over the disposables we use at bed time (just to get them used up). I look forward to using these for our next baby due this spring!
Would Recommend
Oh my gosh I love these diapers! I bought a 6 pack of alvababy diapers and a 6 pack of mama koala diapers to compare the difference because they seemed to be the two more popular choices. The mama koala ones were OK but I much prefer these ones! The removable liner stayed way softer in these ones and the material seems to be thinner so itâs easier to wrap around my baby and stuff. Thinner material but does not skimp on the quality. Colours are still just as vibrant now as when I purchased them at the end of august. I would recommend alvababy diapers.
Great value for anyone considering cloth diapers!
Great value for anyone considering cloth diapering- especially those on a tight budget! Iâve been using for two months and these have completely met my expectations. As far as absorbency goes I find for daytime use they are great as Iâm changing diapers at least every 2-3 hours. I have not been using these overnight as I think youâd have to upgrade the inserts and Iâm not sure if price wise thatâs worth it to me right now. I have 3 sets of these which gets me through almost 3 days with my 2.5 month old. So far completely holding up great with over 200 combined uses. Rinse once with cold water then wash with detergent. I hang the diapers to dry and put the inserts in the dryer. I have not yet tried doubling up the inserts for extra absorbency as my little guy is a touch too small for the extra bulk but would definitely try in future.
Awesome product
I’m so impressed. We’ve been using other, more expensive bands to cloth diaper for about a year, so I was a bit hesitant, but I must say, these diapers work just as well and are a really great price. Plus, the designs are beautiful, always a plus. I would recommend these for sure and will be purchasing more in the future.Side note: I read a lot of negative reviews about the inserts, but they have worked really, REALLY well. Do yourself a favour and try out the inserts that come with the diapers before buying additional ones and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
One was defective
I bought two packs of six diapers and one unfortunately was defective – the snaps around the waist do not stay snapped on one diaper but pull apart immediately with the slightest pressure. I read reviews about absorbency issues and purchased other bamboo and hemp inserts, which I prefer to use but still use microfiber occasionally. Overall I like the diapers – find them easy to stuff, easy to adjust sizing, easy to wash. Wish I could use all of the ones I purchased.
