Keeps baby busy
Engaging and safe quality toy.
This box of Montessori toys packs a real punch. Awesome! Each toy is lightweight, skin-friendly and soft – just perfect for delicate baby. Some can be used as on-the-go toys and each is small enough for tiny hands. Colours are bright and vibrant and all are soft-edged. These toys offer so much to do: pulling, turning, sliding, pushing for noise, rolling, stacking, shifting, pushing of buttons and much more. These, plus sounds and all features, are very engaging and promote fine motor skills, visual and auditory stimulation, hand-eye coordination, tactile stimulation, sound and colour recognition, total sensory skills stimulation and overall skills development. It affords so many opportunities for learning. Babies will, overall, be awestruck – especially with the pull string and spinner toys. This box necessarily grows with baby – some toys are more fine tuned for a six month old while others, a little older. Nevertheless, I see no reason not to introduce all at once and have baby dictate what s/he wants do with each. This is a true Montessori toy set – not a wannabe as are many on the market today. This product does away with all sorts of toxic materials as it is BPA free and non-toxic which is reassuring since toys prove safe as babies are inclined to place them in mouth. All products seem durable and long-lasting. Really, so much to do with this little box. The price of $31.99 Canadian, at the time of this review, seems more than reasonable considering all that you get and the learning value of each toy. In all, works out to be about $5.00 per toy and that’s a great deal. This would make for a wonderful baby shower gift. Since it presents exactly as described and photographed, with no surprises, I am inclined to rate this Montessori toy 5 stars.
Good Variety of Toys
This will keep a baby engaged for a long time at a stretch because the toys are so different.I especially like the crab because it heâs several toys in one. The bead maze is another stand out item for the amount of time it will capture a little oneâs interest, its usefulness at helping to develop fine motor skills, and for its cheery colours. The three spinners are cute and they fly around at a great speed. They are especially good for young babies as they can see that their simple actions can generate a lot of movement. I didnât think Iâd like them as much as I do.It’s also fun to maneuver toys into the elastic-bound cube and fun to get them out again. The six small rattles are especially good to put in and take out as they can use the cutouts as well as the elastics. The rattles can be assembled into larger rattles but the connection points are small and therefore not appropriate for a young baby.Overall it is a good set although the blocks, stacking rings and small rattles donât fit together well enough for a young baby. At least they are good as teethers.Currently this set sells for $40 prior to any discounts or coupons, and this is in line with other similar Montessori sets.
Such great toys for babies!
When children are young, colours, shapes and textures are so important because it’s their way of seeing the world. The colours in these toys are nice and colourful which will stimulate their visual senses. The different shapes of the blocks will help their cognitive function as they manipulate them in their hands. And the textures help with the sensory feel of the toys. My nephew squeals with delight when he is playing with these toys. While he doesn’t quite understand how to do most of the functions yet as he’s so young, he enjoys the noises that it makes and he likes taking the pieces in his hands and waving them around. As he gets older, this will continue to be a great fun and learning experience for him. I highly recommend them!
